The Fletcher CARES (
Centers for
Afterschool,
Recreation,
Enrichment and
Safety) program provides a safe, stable and stimulating environment for school age children. The CARES program is based on the principle that school age care programs exist for the purpose of promoting, supporting and enhancing the school age child's environment. School days are for academics, after-school is for life skills. Our program is available from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Please call

Student Council helps PTA with events and plans programs to benefit the school and community. Some past programs include Boxtops for Education, raising money for animal shelters, leukemia, arts shows, skits for PRIDE day, and recycling. Each year the projects change based on the recommendations of Student Council members.
Peaceful Playgrounds is a program designed to reduce conflict and bullying in the schoolyard. Students are taught school rules to a variety of games, both traditional and non-traditional. Students and teachers use a campus-wide set of strategies for conflict resolution. For example, "Walk, talk, or rock" means to either leave the game, discuss the issue without holding up the game, or end the disagreement by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors.
