Six OUSD Schools Recognized for Attendance Awareness Month
ORANGE, CALIF. – October 13, 2015 – In honor of Attendance Awareness Month, the Orange Unified School District recognized six schools as having the highest overall student attendance rates during September.
The top two schools with the least absences at the elementary, middle and high school levels were Anaheim Hills Elementary School, Serrano Elementary School, Cerro Villa Middle School, El Rancho Charter Middle School, Canyon High School and El Modena High School. Each was presented with an Attendance Achievement Award certificate by Student and Community Services Administrative Director Ken Miller, EdD.
The goal of Attendance Awareness Month is to promote the importance of school attendance in relation to academic achievement. More information is available at the Attendance Works website: awareness.attendanceworks.org.
