Welcome back Leopards! As we begin an exciting new school year, we would like to once again welcome back all families and extend a warm welcome to our many new families to Lampson Elementary School, a place that oozes with energy, enthusiasm, and a high standard of excellence!
Please join me as we welcome our new additions to the Lampson family: Dr. Lucia Perales, assistant principal; Ms. Nichole Elliott, SDC primary; Ms. Lauren Jones, school psychologist; Ms. Amanda Le, speech therapist; and Ms. Nona Cacho, preschool teacher. We are very pleased to welcome them, in addition to welcoming back the rest of our Lampson family.
This promises to be a year filled with golden opportunities for all of our students as we strive to find ways that we can be even better than we have before! We embark on this journey with a pledge to you, our students and parents, that this will be a year of engaging, meaningful, and rigorous work in our classrooms, combined with special community events and extracurricular activities certain to encourage our Leopards to be involved and stay connected.
During the 2017-18 school year, we will continue to build upon and refine our classroom instruction, professional development, and on-going progress monitoring of our students. Our Lampson family is composed of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel who are committed to providing our students with many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom and a safe learning environment that will teach them to think critically, be creative, collaborate, and communicate effectively.
We extend a special, year-long invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible. We want . . . we need . . . and we value your involvement and support in your child’s education! Your active participation is key to the success of our students, in particular, during their elementary school years which are the most important in building a strong foundation for them. We invite and encourage students and parents to work in partnership with us to seize opportunities to stay connected. Get involved by serving on our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), and/or other school groups. Please know that we highly value home/school communication here at Lampson. It is vital and plays an integral role in each student’s success.
I'm truly excited about the upcoming school year and the great things that will be happening at Lampson Elementary. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for any questions and/or concerns. Here’s to an incredible new school year as we work together to make Lampson a great place to work and learn in each day! We look forward to a very positive and productive school year together! Together we can make a difference in the lives of our students!
