         Measure S Update

          At  the  November  8 ,  2016  Election,  Voters
          approved Measure S – OUSD Bond Measure.                        Board of Education

          Measure S will provide $288 million in locally
          controlled funds to repair and upgrade OUSD’s                  Rick Ledesma

          Measure  S  will  cost  approximately  $29  per
          $100,000 of assessed property value (not mar-

            school  science  centers  were  approved  by  the

         Architects  are  currently  working  on  the  project
            designs; plans are approximately 25% complete.               Brenda Lebsack
            Regular  design  review  meetings  are  being  held
            with  the  architects,  construction  managers,  pro-        Member
            gram manager, and District staff.
         Design Teams are currently reviewing the project                Andrea Yamasaki
            designs to identify areas of potential cost savings,         Member

         Standardized  Specifications  are  being  developed
            to  ensure  compatibility  and  conformity  between

            campuses.

         Initial Construction efforts are scheduled to begin
            over  winter  break  and  early  spring  with  the  re-
            moval, relocation, and installation of relocatable
            classrooms at several campuses as well as the re-
            placement  and  installation  of  utility  infrastruc-
            ture.
